You, too, can enjoy the surprise party! (See the previous post for the background.)

It was all in the planning for a big birthday party. Larry would turn 70, and Judy aimed to pull off a huge surprise (which she did!). We enjoyed the behind-the-scenes photography sessions to prepare a special gift for him: a messenger bag with photos of their precious grandchildren! Check out Daniel, Reena, and Jacob!

Sassybear at Let Them Eat Art!

Sassybear presided over the entire evening of the “Let Them Eat Art” crowd in Airedale Antics, the specialty pet food store in Maplewood, MO. Ever elegant, Sassybear and her owners, Sherri and Tony Phipps, introduced us to their customers and other friends. She had her own share of visitors, too! Among them were Herman, the long-haired dachsund, Bernie, the St. Bernard, and Teddy, the Akita.

Sassybear stood patiently by the hors d’ouvres table, offering to help all visitors with their food selections. She was quiet and attentive and, thereby, was rewarded many times over with tidbits of cheese, sausage, and crackers.

See more pictures of Sassybear in the chíc photography Posh Pets gallery! If you want to meet Sassybear and her newly-adopted companion, Harrybear, be sure to stop in at Airedale Antics at 7328 Manchester in Maplewood, Missouri! (Call Toll-free: 866-414-8888) Tony and Sherri can help you identify the perfect food and other products for your dog or cat!

What’s not to love about a Friday evening Girls’ Night Out? Hosted by Pat Gouzien and Kate O’Brien, owners of chíc photography, and Lory Fabian, of the St. Louis RAMS, the event that was scheduled from 5.30 till 8PM lasted until nearly midnight, giving a clear message that chíc is fun!

chíc photography provides fine art portrait photography to decorate the home. Our portraits are designed collaboratively with the client to fit into a specific place in the home, whether a public living space or a private space like a child’s bedroom.

“We recently completed a major project for Lory [Fabian] that spanned several months and included five separate photo sessions and events,” O’Brien explains. “Lory was thrilled with our work and suggested we host a party so that she could introduce us to her colleagues and friends. One thing led to another, and it turned into a mini business expo! We served cupcakes donated by Jilly’s Cupcake Bar. Andy Korbesmeyer from PRP Wines, International, provided wine tasting, and Arvella Roberts shared beauty knowledge from her work with MaryKay Cosmetics.”

O’Brien explains, “Each guest wore a hat and came prepared to tell a story about it. We provided a gift card for a chic handbag as the prize for the best story.” Who won the prize? “It was a [RAMS] coach’s wife,” O’Brien grins. “It was a great story, but I can’t share it here,” she laughs, then continues, “It was a fun party! We were thrilled to share our products with the group, but honestly the highlight for Pat and me was just making new friends. After all, life at its best is about relationships, isn’t it?”

We can’t leave out our first in-person sighting of a St. Louis RAMS Super Bowl ring!
